Kanaan The
only thing for certain in this life is uncertainty.
But at 19, life seems
to hold one destiny: performing.
The arts are inevitably a part of all
our lives, though some refuse to believe it, we listen to it, we watch it. I breathe
it. Through mediums of drama, song, writing and dance I endeavour to tackle not
only prevalent issues of our time, but also illustrate the experiences of the
heart.
The most intriguing and challenging aspect of acting is not to convince
anaudience you are someone / something else in any given circumstance, but to
first convince yourself.
The possibilities are infinite. As long as they
exist, I have reason to exist. |

Sabra My name is Ahmad Sabra. I am 19 years old and
I am from Parramatta way.Sydney. I have Lebanese in me but I was born and raised
in Australia andhave been here all my life but I would love to go to the beautiful
MiddleEast and check it out.
Ive been into acting and music since
I was young. I love theatre and musicals and performing in front of large crowds.
I am currently in a vocal R&B group which I have been in since 2000. My group
is mixed in different nationalities and we all sing and get along with each other
so hopefully with this group I can show and prove to the world that my people,
Arabs, are not all bad nor are they terrorists, and that there is good and bad
in every culture and a whole nationality shouldnt be blamed or disrespected
because of one or two or even ten of their own people who committed a crime.
I
want to prove a point that if we all cut ourselves open we are all the same
on the inside. No matter what colour you are black, white, brown, yellow
or if youre Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Hindu or Muslim at the end
of the day we are all human. www.destined.to/uneek |
| Marouf Im
19 years old. Im a welfare student at TAFE studying youth work. I have always
had a passion for working within the community but my pastime which I enjoy the
most is writing songs to make my first album.
I have always wanted to be
in the performing industry. I first signed up with an agent at 12 years of age.
It didnt get me anywhere so I decided to perform in the choir for 4 years
straight and study music and attend dramaclasses. The Westies project is going
to be a very big asset for me in the future. |

Chamma - Born in Australia, Sydney, my parents are Lebanese. I have
very broad interests and have qualifications in many topics ranging from Marketing
to Environmental Science to Video Production.
I am now studying Bachelor
of Applied Science (Environmental Management) degree at the University of Western
Sydney and I have worked on short films and documentaries in Sydney.
I
am interested in poet and script writing, reading poems, Video production and
looking at pleasant scenery. I am thankful for my life, I have grown up with a
traditional Arabic culture as well as western culture, but I find myself lost
in todays world, and in the world I once known Australia to be, it is disappearing.
I hope to have the opportune, to see where I lost my country (Australia) to the
stereotyping of a culture.
My identity is Austie / Leb and I am hope that
my ethnic background it not a factor and that in the end we are all the same no
matter what. I love my familys culture and I love my country Australia.
I
am happy to be a part of this great opportune (Westies). |
